Our Solutions
EROAD’s Ehubo and Corehub Trailer devices are NZTA-approved distance recorders. Using GPS, they track your vehicle’s mileage and automatically sync with our RUC module in the back office. So you can see each vehicle or trailer’s total mileage — together with the RUC licence end distance.
Electronic RUC
Buy RUC online 24/7 and the electronic label will be delivered straight to the Ehubo or Corehub Trailer device.
AutoRUC
Set up electronic licences to automatically renew, with no need to continually check status.
Online RUC purchasing
Keep your entire fleet compliant in one place with RUC paper label purchasing (for vehicles without an Ehubo).
“ Before we had EROAD, one of our three office admins would manually process our RUC off-road claims. It took her seven to eight working days every month.”

FAQs
Electronic RUC works just like standard RUC. You pre-purchase the distances required and a label is displayed in the vehicle for compliance checks by authorities. The difference with EROAD is you’re replacing the manual paper label process for an easy digital pay and display.
The licence, or electronic label, is delivered to the Ehubo or Corehub digitally using the cellular network. Once purchased, it’s automatically sent to the associated device.
You can purchase your next licence in MyEROAD, or you can set up AutoRUC to automatically purchase a new label before the current one expires. With AutoRUC, you decide how many Kilometres are purchased with each licence.
For vehicles fitted with an Ehubo, you can buy and display RUC like you do for other vehicles. If the vehicle doesn’t have an Ehubo, you can use MyEROAD to easily check and purchase paper label licences, keeping all your RUC transactions and information in one place.
If your RUC vehicle travels off-road, you can apply for a refund of those off-road kilometres. When a licence expires, EROAD’s highly accurate GPS tracking history is used to automatically calculate the total off-road distance travelled, including Geofenced off-road zones, such as construction sites next to public roads.
A RUC Off-road Refund (RUCOR) form is generated with your off-road kilometres information, ready for you to send to NZTA (or edit if required) and claim back those off-road KMs. Making it easy for you to claim back what you’re owed.
While there are alternative providers in the market offering low cost RUC, they still require a mechanical hubodometer which means you still have admin and the process isn’t fully automated. That’s not the case with EROAD.
For heavy vehicles and trailers, the EROAD Device (Ehubo2 or Corehub Trailer) replaces the mechanical hubodometer as the approved distance recorder.
For light vehicles, the vehicles’ own odometer remains the legal distance recorder. Odometer sync is a simple step that helps keep the GPS odo and the vehicles’ odo in sync – and it can be done on the Ehubo2 itself, or in MyEROAD.
