NZI Safe Driving Rewards

Rewarding safer driving across commercial fleets

NZI Safe Driving Rewards is a long-running New Zealand programme delivered in partnership with NZI, using EROAD telematics data to recognise safer driving and help businesses turn everyday driving behaviour into real commercial value. Now available to both heavy and light commercial fleets, the programme helps reduce the cost impact of incidents for more NZ businesses than ever before.

How the NZI Safe Driving Rewards Programme works

EROAD telematics data is used to assess driving safety across enrolled fleets. Fleets with strong safety performance may be eligible for an insurance excess waiver in the event of a claim.*

$3M+
Waived Excess Payments

Running for more than 10 years, the programme has already helped NZI customers save over $3 million in waived excess payments on heavy motor vehicle claims.

$3 million in waived excess payments figure is correct at time of publication (May 2026).
